The Past

Dave Ferrari opened Ferrari Florist in Downtown Santa Cruz on Pacific Avenue in 1946 just after World War II.  At that time men were still the primary work force of America which included butchers, barbers, and florists.  After returning from the war, Dave decided to open a flower business with his first sign on the building reading "Ferrari the Florist".

The business quickly developed a reputation of having the best designs, freshest and longest lasting flowers in the area, amazing window displays and customer service second to none - a tradition we work very hard to preserve today in honor of Dave's legacy.

The Present

Of course times have changed since 1946. Ferrari's is now under the care of a local family with over 50 years of history living and working in the community. 

 

Today we are a modern floral design company with designers schooled in the latest trends and styles while continuing to support generations of families here in Santa Cruz County. 

 

We still hand-select our flowers, plants and orchids from local sources with farm fresh product arriving every few days in our stores.  We believe it's this passion for freshness that separates us from rest of the pack and likely why our company continues to stand the test of time.  We thank you for your business and for recognizing the quality of our work we so enjoy sharing with you and your families.
